What a sweet ride! Hadn't had a bike in several years. First ride, on the way home from the shop—Silk Road Cycles rules—gliding around Greenpoint on my new Bedford 8 Speed, the sun setting, a crisp breeze blowing, I was thinking, "Oh yeah, this is the stuff." A lot of bike for the money

My Bedford 8 was inexpensive but not cheap. Good components, great ride, beautiful bike. It’s got everything you need in a commuter, around town bike and no gimmicky bells and whistles that you don’t need. Brooklyn’s customer service quality is not found very often these days. Real folks you can talk to and questions answered and issues taken care of quickly. I’m very happy with my purchase.

For the price I thought it might not look so cheap but it does. It’s also not purpley pink like it looks on the picture it’s gray. Seat isn’t comfortable will need padding. It’s light though and a nice ride. But not worth it for the price

great simple bike for my teen

Got this for my 13yo daughter for mostly city street/path riding. Not much to say other than it’s just perfect for this use case and she loves the bike. It’s simple, rides smoothly, gearing ratios are great, and it fits her well. Lovely bike.

Nice carrier!

Well built carrier; I expect it will last for many years. My only quibble is the cheap-looking branded sticker stuck to the top, which is easy enough to pull off but required some elbow grease to remove the residue.
